Korut
Pienen tuotannon korumallistoni lisäksi teen täysin uniikkeja yksittäiskappaleita erilaisia valmistusmetodeja käyttämällä. Näihinkin koruihin liittyy erityinen tarina tai merkitys.
Otan harkinnalla vastaan myös tilaustöitä, joiden suunnittelu lähtee käyntiin yhdessä asiakkaan kanssa keskustellen ja toiveiden mukaan, mutta joita valmistan omalle tyylilleni uskollisena ja omaa luovuuttani ja intuitiotani kuunnellen.

Thornaug
Thornaug-sarja kertoo tarinaa pimeydestä, valosta, herkkyydestä ja kivusta. Okaat aiheuttavat kipua, mutta vain koska ne suojaavat jotain kaunista ja arvokasta. Materiaaleina on käytetty kuivattuja, lakattuja ja maalattuja luonnonkasveja sekä sterlinghopeaa.

Viae mysticae / Mystisiä polkuja
Monet koruistani ovat syntyneet vetovoimasta elämän mystisen ja syvällisen puolen asioihin. Ammennan paljon esimerkiksi mytologioista, symboliikasta, fantasia- ja satumaailmasta sekä synkästä estetiikasta. Erityisesti käärmeet, öinen maailma, jumalatarolennot sekä taivaankappaleet ovat kiehtovimpia aiheita ja korujeni tarinoiden keskiössä. Avaruus, taivaankappaleet ja niiden voima kiehtoo, pysäyttää ja tekee nöyräksi. Taivaankappaleiden liikkeisiin liittyy paljon mystiikkaa ja uskomuksia. Varsinkin suomalaisten elämänrytmi on vahvasti linkittynyt muun muassa kuun vaiheiden, vuoden kierron ja vuodenaikojen ympärille. Näiden eri ilmiöiden tulkinta on minulle tärkeää ja koen, että pääsen lähemmäs elämän mysteerejä ja omaa sisintäni niitä tutkiessani ja tulkitessani.
Pohjoisen taikaa
Syys-Matti
Artesaaniopintojen päättötyö. Syysmatti viittaa vanhan kansan vuodenkierron ajankohtaan 21.9., jolloin käärmeet hakeutuivat horrostamaan. 13 spinelliä symboloivat metamorfoosia ja jonkin päättymistä tai kuolemaa. Tätä sanomaa korostaa myös liikkuva käärmespiraali, jonka vastapäivään suuntaava liike viittaa lisäksi ihmisen tiedostamattomaan puoleen ja alitajuntaan. Tämä koru on täynnä tummansävyistä symboliikkaa ja maagista latausta.

Kaunis ja kiehtova pohjoisen luonnon ihme. Tämä korusarja on syntynyt rakkaudesta pohjoiseen luontoon ja sen pieniin yksityiskohtiin. Settiin kuuluu riipus sekä eripariset koukkukorvakorut kolmiolukkokiinnityksillä.

Hiekkavalukihlat
Sulhanen oli veistänyt omenapuusta kihlat, joista valmistettiin alkuperäisen muodon mukaiset korut hiekkavaluna valamalla. Hiekkavalumenetelmällä korun pinnasta saa upean orgaanisen ja rosoisen. Sulhon itselleen veistämä puusormus ja siten myös siitä tehty hopeavalu olisi kuitenkin sormessa epäkäytännöllinen, joten siitä tehtiin riipus ja sulhon sormeen valmistettiin käytännöllisempi kihla, joka tehtiin perinteisin menetelmin hopealevystä sahaamalla ja takomalla. Pinta käsiteltiin rosoiseksi skrymppaamalla eli hopean pintaa sulattamalla ja viimeisteltiin mustaksi patinoimalla.
